Yesterday was a gorgeous day and perfect for an afternoon under the redwoods, so we headed out to Butano for one of our favorite hikes. We love this park, not only because it is beautiful, but also because it always seems to be deserted. We took our time investigating the banana slugs (194), newts (10), lichen, and fungi along the trail. The complete set of photos is

Never understand how your pictures are so incredible!! Fancy camera and using Lightroom, I can never recreate your pics. Jealous!!
ReplyDeleteAw, shucks. :) Thanks, Jackie! I think a big part of getting some of these shots is a combination of patience and sheer volume (and willingness to crouch under logs and ankle-deep in muck for extended periods of time). Most of these photos represent the one out of 20 or 30 attempts that actually worked out -- the rest I trash. Thank god for digital!
